los labios enrojecidos por el jugo de la nuez de betel,

los zarcillos de oro y diamantes pendiendo,

con todo el cuerpo moreno resplandeciente,

el Señor de Kailasa apareció en persona.

¡Encarnaciones del Amor!

La tierra entera está saturada de poder magnético. Todos los seres vivientes y objetos presentes sobre esta tierra también tienen este poder magnético. Los ríos que fluyen, el viento que sopla, las flores que florecen, todo está dotado de poder magnético. Los ríos fluyen en la tierra debido a ese poder magnético. El poder magnético lo penetra todo.

La gente con devoción (bhakti) y fe (prapatti) visita los templos, que tienen el poder magnético. Las flores y las frutas que la gente ofrece con devoción en los templos también tienen este poder magnético. Al reunirse miles de devotos aquí, nuestro Mandir está lleno de poder magnético. El poder magnético que todo lo penetra resplandece con mayor brillantez en este Mandir. Este poder magnético está siempre en aumento ya que hay un flujo continuo de devotos.

Hasta un clavo de hierro se imanta debido a su asociación con el imán. De una manera similar, las personas que visitan el Mandir se llenan de poder magnético. Sólo debido al poder magnético de los devotos el Mandir se carga de enormes poderes. Cada individuo está lleno de poder magnético de la cabeza a los pies, pero el hombre no toma conciencia de su potencial innato y visita los templos para obtener bendiciones y gracia. No se obtiene ningún poder especial de los templos. Lo que se obtiene es sólo el reflejo del propio poder magnético. La gente visita diversos centros de peregrinaje como Tirupati, Haridwar, Rishikesh, y otros. El poder que está presente en los centros de peregrinaje se debe únicamente al poder de la devoción y de la fe que los peregrinos llevan en sus corazones.

Dios es la encarnación de todas las formas de opulencia y así también lo es el hombre. La riqueza (sampada), la autoridad/control (aishvaraya), la fama (yashas), el poder (shakti), la sabiduría (jñâna) y la bienaventuranza (ânanda) son todos dones de Dios. Están latentes en cada hombre, pero él los está perdiendo, ya que es incapaz de darles un uso apropiado. La Divinidad brilla resplandecientemente en el hombre cuando él hace uso apropiado de estas seis formas de riqueza (shadaishvaryas). Hay refulgencia divina en el rostro de cada hombre.

Como lo mencionó Venkataraman, cada hombre es una combinación de materialización, vibración y radiación. El cuerpo humano con todos sus miembros y músculos se conoce como ‘materialización’. La fuerza vital (prana shakti) se conoce como vibración. Éstos dos son coordinados por el poder átmico conocido como radiación. Todos los poderes divinos están latentes en el hombre, pero él no está dirigiendo su atención a ellos. Él se identifica con el cuerpo, cuando en realidad, no es el cuerpo. De otro modo, ¿por qué diría él, ‘éste es mi cuerpo’? Si dicen, ‘éste es mi cuerpo’, ustedes son diferentes de él. El hombre se engaña pensando que él es el cuerpo. Está perdiendo su divina refulgencia debido a su equivocada identificación.

La vibración simboliza el proceso de respiración. A veces, la gente dice ‘mi respiración no está bien’. Esto demuestra que son diferentes de ella. “Es un tonto aquel que ve con sus ojos y sin embargo no reconoce la realidad” (Pashyannapicha Na Pashyati Mûdho). El hombre está inmerso en la ignorancia ya que se identifica con algo que es totalmente diferente de él.

La radiación es DIVINA y esa es la verdadera naturaleza del hombre. Es el poder magnético que está latente en todo hombre. Es el mismo poder divino que está presente en los templos que atraen a todos. El magnetismo es la naturaleza de todos los templos.

Hay oro en cada hombre. También hay hierro y varios otros metales presentes en él. Los Vedas declaran: “Dios satura el cuerpo en ‘la forma de la esencia’ (Raso Vai Saha)”. ¿Cuál es la significación de la creación del Lingam (Lingodbhava)? Dios es conocido como El de útero dorado (Hiranyagarbha). La esencia (rasa) dorada presente en Su útero sufre un vigoroso proceso de batido y asume la forma de un Lingam. Lingam significa un símbolo o una señal. (Mostrando el Lingam dorado que creó al comienzo de Su Discurso) Bhagavan dijo: “Como pueden ver, no tiene ningún rasgo distintivo como ojos, rostro, etcétera. No tiene pies ni cabeza. Puede ser colocado de cualquiera manera. Simboliza la Divinidad sin forma. Es la base de todo (Lîyathe Gamyathe Iti Lingaha). La dorada esencia emerge después de asumir la forma de un Lingam. Se necesita fuego a fin de fundir el oro. Similarmente, el fuego interior funde el oro y lo moldea en la forma de un Lingam. Por esto, la dificultad en el momento de su emergencia. Tiene que asumir la forma de un Lingam y salir. Ustedes piensan que Swami pasa por mucho sufrimiento (badha) en el momento de la creación del Lingam. No es realmente un sufrimiento (badha), sino una enseñanza (bhoda) para ustedes. ¿No es natural que una madre tenga dolores de parto mientras da a luz a un hijo? ¿Maldecirá alguna madre a su hijo sólo porque atraviesa por mucho sufrimiento? Ella siempre ora por el bienestar del niño. De la misma manera, Swami no siente ningún dolor en el momento de la emergencia del Lingam. No lo considero un sufrimiento (badha). Estoy feliz de impartirles una enseñanza (bodha) a tantísimos de ustedes. Dios no tiene ningún sufrimiento en absoluto, ninguna preocupación y ninguna dificultad de ningún tipo. Pero ustedes sienten que Swami está pasando por un gran dolor y sufrimiento. A fin de facilitar la formación de esos Lingams, Mi cuerpo se ha convertido en un imán. Es por esta razón que tenía dificultad para caminar durante los últimos tres días, ya que Mis pies quedaban pegados al suelo debido a la atracción magnética. Igualmente, cualquier objeto que Yo tocaba se pegaba a Mis manos. Eso no era problema para Mí. Es lo natural ya que todo Mi cuerpo se volvió magnético. Tal poder de atracción no puede ser experimentado por todos. Sólo en la Divinidad encuentran una fuerza magnética tan poderosa. Estas cosas no pueden ser reveladas a todos. Cada hombre tiene ese imán divino dentro de sí, pero hay ciertas limitaciones. La Divinidad no tiene ninguna limitación. Aunque la Divinidad trasciende todos los límites, ustedes tratan de imponerle ciertas limitaciones.

El poder magnético está presente en todas partes. El aire, el agua, el alimento, el sonido, todo está lleno de poder magnético. Al indagar en profundidad sabrán que ese poder magnético no tiene limitaciones. “El universo entero está bajo el control de Dios” (Daivadhûnam Jagatsarvam). “La Verdad es la esencia de Dios” (Satyadhûnam Daivatam). Todo está contenido en el principio de la Verdad. Cuando ustedes sostengan la verdad, todos los poderes divinos se manifestarán en ustedes. “La Verdad es controlada por la virtud de las almas nobles” (Tatsatyam Utthamadhîriyam). ¿Quién es un alma noble? Aquel que es un hombre de paz, amor y compasión. Esas almas nobles son verdaderamente la suprema Divinidad (Uttamo Paradevata).

El hombre va de peregrinaje en busca de Dios ya que ignora su poder divino latente. Quien reconoce el poder divino latente no necesita emprender ninguna práctica espiritual. Una dama rusa llamada Brigitte estaba llena de poder magnético. Cada vez que ella caminaba en la carretera, limallas de hierro eran atraídas hacia ella. No se le permitía entrar a ninguna tienda porque los artículos se veían atraídos hacia ella. No es suficiente si tenemos poder magnético, debemos ser capaces de mantenerlo bajo nuestro control. Ella no tenía ningún control sobre su poder magnético. Ni siquiera podía comer. En consecuencia, murió después de algunos días. Aunque tenía el divino poder magnético, murió prematuramente debido a que no tenía la capacidad de controlarlo. El que maneja un automóvil debe también tener la habilidad para controlarlo. Si no tiene control sobre el vehículo que está manejando, con seguridad tendrá un accidente. Nuestro cuerpo puede ser comparado con un automóvil magnético. Los ojos son los faros; la boca, la corneta; la mente, el volante y el estómago, el tanque de gasolina. Los cuatro objetivos de la vida humana, a saber, la rectitud, la riqueza, el deseo y la liberación (Dharma, Artha, Kama y Moksha) son como las cuatro llantas. Deben llenar estas llantas con el aire de la fe. La presión del aire en las llantas delanteras debe ser diferente del de las llantas traseras. La gasolina (el alimento) con que se llena el tanque (el estómago) debe ser pura y sagrada. Si la gasolina es impura, es posible que haya un bloqueo. Por lo tanto, se recomienda el alimento sátvico. El agua que bebemos también debe ser pura e incontaminada. Sólo entonces estará el ‘automóvil’ en buenas condiciones y nos llevará a destino. La vida del hombre será redimida sólo cuando él comprenda el principio de su cuerpo.

“El nacer es una preocupación, el estar sobre la tierra es una

preocupación; el mundo causa preocupación y la muerte

también; toda la infancia es una preocupación y así lo es la vejez; la vida

es una preocupación, el fracaso es una preocupación; todas las

acciones y dificultades causan preocupación; hasta la felicidad es también

una misteriosa preocupación.”

La felicidad o la preocupación están basadas en vuestros sentimientos. Si consideran al cuerpo como una causa de preocupación, así lo será. Por otro lado, si lo consideran sagrado, será fuente de felicidad para ustedes. De hecho, no hay nada malo en la creación de Dios. Todo es sagrado y está lleno de poder magnético. El cuerpo es como un templo con poder magnético. De modo que cualquier acción que emprendan debe ser sagrada. Cuando realizan actividades incorrectas, tienen que enfrentar las consecuencias. Las prácticas espirituales como la repetición del nombre (japa), y la meditación (dhyana), confieren sólo satisfacción mental. No pueden revelar el poder magnético. Hay nueve sendas de devoción. Ellas son: escuchar (Shravanam), cantar (Kirtanam), la contemplación de Vishnu (Vishnu smaranam), el servicio a Sus Pies de Loto (Padasevanam), rendirle saludos (Vandanam), la adoración (Archanam), el servicio (Dasyam), la amistad (Sneham) y la rendición total del Ser (Atmanivedanam). Atmanivedanam viene sólo después de Sneham. Por lo tanto, deben tratar de cultivar la amistad con Dios. Sin Sneham, no pueden alcanzar el estado de Atmanivedanam. Hasta que alcancen ésta última, no pueden comprender el principio del divino poder magnético que todo lo penetra. El poder magnético es la base de cualquier actividad que emprenden.

Los templos no son sino centros de poder magnético (ayaskantha mandiras). Cualquiera sea el poder que experimentan en un templo, es sólo debido a la presencia del poder magnético. Ustedes sienten que hay un gran poder en Tirupati. No es el poder de Venkateshvara Swami, la deidad que preside allí. Es el poder de la fe y entrega de los devotos. Por ende, hay un tremendo poder magnético. “Aquello que atrae es el principio de Rama” (Ramayathi Iti Ramaha). Dios tiene el poder de atracción. Tomen como ejemplo cualquier templo. Sólo el poder magnético está presente allí. Ese es el poder de la Divinidad. Sólo puede ser experimentado en templos y en ninguna otra parte. ¿Cuál es la razón? Las deidades instaladas en los templos, el agua usada para el baño ceremonial (abhishekam), las flores y el arroz amarillo usados para la adoración, todo está lleno de poder magnético. Esa es la razón por la que la gente es atraída a los templos.

Nuestro cuerpo es también como un templo con poder magnético. Por ende, tiene que ser utilizado para fines sagrados. Cuando dan lugar a los rasgos malignos como la ira, la envidia y el odio, gran parte de vuestro poder magnético se desperdicia. El sentido del olfato, el tacto, el gusto, etc., no son otra cosa que el efecto del poder magnético. Un programa que está siendo difundido en una estación de radio de Delhi o Madrás puede ser oído aquí simultáneamente. ¿A qué se debe esto? Al poder magnético que transporta las ondas sonoras. Ningún científico o ingeniero puede comprender esto. ¿Puede un científico explicar el proceso de digestión y circulación de la sangre en el cuerpo? ¡No! En cada ser, el corazón late un número particular de veces. ¿Qué científico puede explicar esto? Todo esto es ordenado por Dios. Los doctores se sienten orgullosos de sus logros. Pero, de hecho, nadie puede lograr nada sin la Voluntad Divina. Ellos saben cómo late un corazón, pero no saben por qué lo hace y quién lo hace funcionar. No es debido al esfuerzo humano sino por la Voluntad Divina que el cuerpo funciona. Pero el hombre no es capaz de comprender esto debido a su ego y su sentido de ser el hacedor. Sin duda, el esfuerzo humano es necesario pero nada puede hacerse sin la gracia Divina. He aquí un ejemplo. Dios ha creado el arroz con cáscara. Pero no pueden comerlo tal como está. Deben quitarle la cáscara, hervir el arroz y preparar el alimento. Este proceso de refinación se conoce como Samskara. Reside en el esfuerzo humano. Pero la creación está en las manos de Dios. Todos deben tener fe firme en Dios. Los ignorantes no creen en la existencia de Dios. Hasta esas personas convienen en que debe haber algún poder trascendental detrás de esta creación. Ese poder mismo es Dios, sin Quien el hombre no puede existir.

Como dije antes, el hombre es la combinación de materialización, vibración y radiación. Con la ayuda de la radiación (Atma) y de la vibración (fuerza vital), el hombre es capaz de vivir su vida usando la materialización (el cuerpo) como instrumento. El cuerpo es la base para realizar la acción. Simboliza el Karma Yoga. La vibración ayuda al hombre a pensar. La radiación es responsable del funcionamiento de la vibración y la materialización. Los Vedas llaman a esto Prajñânam Brahma, “Brahmán es la Suprema Conciencia”. No es sólo conciencia, sino Conciencia Integrada Constante. Existe en todas partes y en todo momento, totalmente. No tiene distinción de día y noche. Trasciende los tres estados de la vigilia (jagrat), el sueño (svapna) y el sueño profundo (sushupti). Es uno y el mismo en los tres períodos del tiempo. “La verdad es una, pero los eruditos se refieren a ella con muchos nombres” (Ekam Sat Vipraha Bahudha Vadanti). Esto es el divino poder magnético. Puede asumir cualquier forma como Rama, Krishna, Îshvara, etc., dependiendo de los sentimientos de los devotos. Todos estos nombres y formas son imaginaciones vuestras, pero en realidad Dios no tiene ni nombre ni forma. Tomen por ejemplo el agua. No tiene una forma específica, pero asume la forma del recipiente en el cual es vertida. Igualmente, el aire carece de forma, pero asume la forma de un globo o de una pelota de fútbol cuando se les llena con él. Los nombres y las formas son fabricaciones de ustedes y un día u otro están destinados a desaparecer. Por lo tanto, aférrense al principio fundamental de la Divinidad.

¡Encarnaciones del Amor!

Pueden olvidar cualquier cosa, pero no a Dios. Olvidar a Dios es igual a olvidarse de sí mismos. En tiempos antiguos, las personas vivían 110 y 120 años porque llevaban sus vidas pensando constantemente en Dios. Nunca sufrían de enfermedades. Solían comer alimentos sencillos. No tenían conocimientos de vitaminas y proteínas. Nunca tomaban tabletas como vitamina A, vitamina B, vitamina C, etcétera. Obtenían las vitaminas y proteínas requeridas porque ofrecían su alimento a Dios. Pueden lograr cualquier cosa en la vida si fortalecen vuestra fe en Dios. De hecho, se volverán Dios mismo. Ustedes no son diferentes de Dios. Comprendan esta verdad y alcancen el estado de unidad. (Mostrando el Lingam dorado a los devotos, Swami dijo:) “Cómo todos pueden ver, el tamaño de este Lingam es bastante grande. Hay un significado detrás de esto. Éste tiene cinco tulas de peso. En cada ser humano se halla la esencia dorada de cinco tulas conocida como Hiranyagarbha. Quizás sepan que hay algunas medicinas que tienen un contenido de oro. El oro representa la energía en el hombre y es la causa de su resplandor. El contenido de oro dentro de cada cuerpo es sólo de este tamaño. Esta esencia dorada es la que hace que los ojos vean, los oídos oigan. Hay miles de papilas gustativas en nuestra lengua y cientos de miles de rayos de luz en los ojos. Los ojos, la lengua y los otros órganos de los sentidos derivan su fuerza del poder magnético presente en ellos. La esencia dorada penetra todo el cuerpo como un escudo de protección. Hay una delgada capa de piel blanca justo debajo de la piel normal que actúa como un escudo protector para la sangre. Se perderá sangre sólo si la piel blanca es cortada. Dios ha mantenido la piel blanca debajo de la piel normal para fines de protección. Cualquier cosa que Dios haga es para el bienestar de todos. Éste es el significado de la oración: “¡Que todos los seres del mundo sean felices!” (Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu). El Bhagavata dice: “Las historias del Señor son las más maravillosas y sagradas en todos los tres mundos. Son como la hoz que corta las enredaderas de las ataduras mundanas.” (Poema telugu).

Las gopikas tenían una fe inquebrantable en el Señor Krishna y así pudieron redimir sus vidas. La fe es el poder magnético que atrae a la Divinidad. Aunque sus suegras las maltrataban y sus esposos se enojaban con ellas, las gopikas nunca refutaban. No se enojaban ni sentían temor. La dulce forma de Krishna estaba impresa en sus corazones tal como una imagen está impresa en el papel. ¿Pueden la imagen y el papel ser separados? No. De la misma forma, Krishna estaba firmemente instalado en los corazones de las gopikas. Una fe y devoción tan firmes son el resultado de méritos acumulados durante muchos nacimientos. Para alcanzar a Dios, deben tener amor y compasión. El sabor del amor está más allá de toda descripción. Es altamente sagrado y nos hace olvidarnos de nosotros mismos en éxtasis. El sabio Narada describió al amor así: “Habiendo alcanzado Aquello, el hombre obtiene total satisfacción, plenitud, éxtasis y bienaventuranza”. (Yallabdva Puman Ichcharamo Bhavati Trupto Bhavati Matto Bhavati Âtmaramo Bhavati).

Cuando cantan el Divino Nombre con amor, se olvidan de sí mismos. El hombre alcanza la plenitud solamente cuando se vuelve el receptor del amor Divino. A fin de alcanzar el amor Divino, desarrollen más y más amor dentro de ustedes. Si tienen el poder magnético del amor dentro de ustedes, cualquier cosa que estudien quedará impresa en sus corazones. Si no tienen el poder magnético, nunca tendrán éxito en sus esfuerzos, no importa cuan duro lo intenten. Pueden estudiar día y noche, pero sin resultado. Cuando traten de estudiar, serán dominados por Nidra Devi, la diosa del sueño. Kumbhakarna (hermano de Ravana) los pondrá a dormir. Por otro lado, si desarrollan el poder magnético en ustedes, nunca sentirán sueño mientras estudian. Kumbhakarna no se atreverá a mirarlos.

Los estudiantes hoy en día pierden mucho tiempo. Tratan de estudiar sólo en el momento de los exámenes.

“¡Oh Hombre! No te sientas orgulloso de tu educación.

Si no ofreces tus salutaciones a Dios y piensas en Él con devoción,

toda tu educación se volverá inútil.”

Piensen en Dios por lo menos una vez al día. No le presten atención a lo que otros digan. Alguien puede venir a ustedes y decir que Dios no existe. Entonces, inmediatamente, deben preguntar: “¿El Dios de quién? ¿Tu Dios o mi Dios? Tu Dios puede no existir para ti, pero ¿quién eres tú para negar la existencia de mi Dios?” Con esa firme convicción, deben argüir con ellos. Desgraciadamente, hoy en día, la gente se ha vuelto ciega al haber perdido los ojos de la fe. Desarrollen fe y santifiquen sus vidas. Sólo la fe puede protegerlos en todo momento y bajo toda circunstancia. No den lugar a los malos sentimientos. No le hagan daño a nadie. No critiquen a otros. Si hacen sufrir a otros, ustedes sufrirán mucho más. No sólo ustedes, incluso vuestra familia tendrá que enfrentar las consecuencias. Nunca olviden esta verdad. Dios les conferirá bienestar a ustedes y a vuestra familia sólo cuando anhelen el bienestar de otros. Desarrollen sentimientos nobles, piensen en Dios y hagan un uso apropiado del tiempo.

With the crescent moon dancing, the matted locks waving,
the cool waters of the Ganga flowing between,
with the eye in the middle of the forehead shining,
the purple neck gleaming like the sheen of a black berry,
wearing serpent-bracelets and a snake skin belt,
the entire body smeared with Vibhuti,
with the forehead adorned with kumkum dot,
lips ruddied by the juice of the betel,
Gold embellished diamond ear rings dangling,
with whole swarthy body glowing,
the Lord of Kailasa appeared in person.

Embodiments of Love!

The entire earth is permeated by magnetic power. All the living beings and objects that are present on this earth also have this magnetic power. The rivers that flow, the wind that blows, the flowers that blossom --everything is endowed with magnetic power. The rivers flow on earth because of magnetic power. The magnetic power is all-pervasive.

People with (devotion and faith (bhakti and prapatti) visit temples, which have the magnetic power. The flowers and fruits that people offer with devotion in temples also have this magnetic power. As thousands of devotees gather here, our temple (mandir) is suffused with magnetic power. The all-pervasive magnetic power shines with added brilliance in this mandir. This magnetic power is ever on the rise, since there is a continuous flow of devotees.

Even an iron nail turns into a magnet because of its association with the magnet. In a similar manner, people who visit the mandir are filled with magnetic power. It is only from the magnetic power of the devotees that the mandir gets charged with mighty powers. Every individual is filled with magnetic power from head to toe. But people do not realise their innate potential and visit temples for blessings and grace. One does not acquire any special powers from temples. What one gets is only the reflection of one's own magnetic power. People visit various pilgrimage centres like Tirupati, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. The power that is present in pilgrimage centres is due only to the power of devotion and faith that pilgrims carry in their hearts.

God is the embodiment of all forms of opulence and so also is man. Wealth (sampada), authority/control (aiswarya), fame (yashas), power (shakti),  spiritual wisdom (jnana) and bliss (ananda) --all these are the gifts of God. They are latent in every person, but people are losing them, because they are unable to put them to proper use. Divinity shines resplendently in people when they make proper use of these six forms of wealth (shadaiswaryas). There is divine effulgence on the face of every person.

As Venkataraman mentioned, every man is a combination of materialisation, vibration, and radiation. The human body, with all its limbs and muscles, is known as 'materialisation'. The life-force (prana shakti) is known as vibration. These two are coordinated by the Atmic power known as radiation. All the divine powers are latent in people. But people are not directing their attention on them. People identify themselves with the body, but in reality they are not the body. Otherwise, why would they say, 'this is my body'? When you say, 'this is my body', you are different from it. People are deluded by thinking that they are the body. They are losing their divine effulgence because of this mistaken identity.

The vibration symbolises the breathing process. Sometimes, people say, 'my breathing is not proper'. It shows that you are different from it. Pashyannapicha Na Pashyati Moodho (he is a fool who sees with his eyes yet does not recognise the reality). People are immersed in ignorance, since they identify themselves with something from which they are totally different.

Radiation is divine, and that is everyone's true nature. This is the magnetic power that is latent in every person. It is the same divine power that is present in temples, which attracts all. Magnetism is the nature of all temples.

There is gold in every person. Iron and various other metals are also present in them. The Vedas declare, Raso Vai Saha (God pervades the body in the form of essence).

What is the significance of Lingodbhava? God is known as Hiranyagarbha (one having a golden womb). The golden essence (rasa) present in His womb undergoes a vigorous churning process and assumes the shape of a Linga. Linga means a symbol or a sign. [Showing the golden Linga that He created in the beginning of His Discourse, Bhagavan said] As you can see, it has no distinctive features like eyes, face, etc. It has neither feet nor head. It can be placed in any manner. It symbolises the formless Divinity.

Leeyathe Gamyathe Ithi Lingaha. It is the basis of everything. The golden essence (rasa), after assuming the shape of a Linga, emerges out. You need fire in order to melt gold. Similarly, the fire within melts the gold and moulds it into the shape of a Linga. Hence, the difficulty at the time of its emergence. It has to assume the form of a Linga and come out.

You feel Swami is put to a lot of suffering (badha) at the time of Lingodbhava. It is not really a badha (suffering) but a bodha (teaching) for you. Is it not natural for a mother to undergo labour pains while giving birth to a child? Will any mother curse her child just because she is put to a lot of suffering? She always prays for the well-being of the child. In the same manner, Swami does not feel any pain at the time of the emergence of Linga. I don't consider it a badha. I am happy that I am imparting a significant bodha to so many of you. God has absolutely no suffering, no worries, and no difficulties whatsoever. But you feel that Swami is undergoing a great pain and suffering.

In order to facilitate the formation of these Lingas, My body has turned into a magnet. It is for this reason that I was finding it difficult to walk for the last three days, since My feet were getting stuck to the ground because of magnetic pull. Likewise, whatever objects I touched were getting stuck to My hands. It was not a trouble for Me. It is but natural, because My whole body became magnetic. Such power of attraction cannot be experienced by all. It is only in Divinity that you find such highly powerful magnetic force. These things cannot be revealed to all. Every person has such a divine magnet in them. But there are certain limitations. Divinity has no limitations whatsoever. Though Divinity transcends all limits, you try to impose certain limitations on it.

Magnetic power is present everywhere. The air, the water, the food, sound, everything is suffused with magnetic power. On deep enquiry, you will know that magnetic power has no limitations Daivadheenam Jagatsarvam (the whole universe is under the control of God). Sathyadheenamtu Daivatam (Truth is the essence of God). Everything is contained in the principle of Truth. When you uphold Truth, all the divine powers will manifest in you. Tatsathyam Utthamadheenam (Truth is controlled by the virtue of noble souls). Who is a noble soul? One who is of peace, love, and compassion.

Utthamo Paradevata (such noble souls are verily the supreme divine).

People go on pilgrimages in search of God, since they are ignorant of their latent divine power. One who recognises the latent divine power need not undertake any such spiritual practice. A Russian lady by name Brigitte was full of magnetic power. Whenever she walked on the road, iron filings would get attracted to her. She was not allowed to enter any shop because the items there would get attracted to her. It is not enough if one has magnetic power, one should be able to keep it under one's control. She had no control over her magnetic power. She could not even have her food. Consequently, she died after a few days. Though she had the divine magnetic power, she died a premature death because she did not have the capacity to control it.

Someone who drives a car should also have the ability to control it. If one has no control over the vehicle one is driving, one is sure to meet with accident. The body can be compared to a magnetic car. The eyes are the headlights, the mouth is the horn, the mind is the steering wheel, and the stomach is the petrol tank. The four objectives of human life --dharma, wealth (artha), desire (kama), and liberation (moksha)-- are like the four tyres. You should fill these tyres with the air of faith. The pressure of air filled in the front tyres should be different from that is filled in the rear tyres. The petrol (food) that is filled in the tank (stomach) should be pure and sacred. When the petrol is impure, there could be a blockage. Hence, sathwic food is recommended. Drinking water should also be pure and unpolluted. Only then will the 'car' be in good condition and will take us to the destination. One's life will be redeemed only when one understands the principle of one's body.

To be born is a worry, to be on the earth is a worry;
world is a cause of worry and death too;
entire childhood is a worry, and so is the old age;
life is a worry, failure is a worry;
all actions and difficulties cause worry;
even happiness too is a mysterious worry.

Happiness or worry is based on your feelings. If you consider the body to be a cause of worry, it will be so. On the other hand, if you consider it as sacred, it will be a source of happiness for you. In fact, there is nothing bad in God's creation. Everything is sacred and full of magnetic power. Body is like a temple with magnetic power. So, whatever actions you undertake should be sacred. When you do unrighteous activities, you have to face the consequences. Spiritual practices like repetition of the name (japa) and meditation (dhyana) confer only mental satisfaction. They cannot reveal the magnetic power.

There are nine paths of devotion. They are:

Listening (sravanam), singing (kirtanam), contemplating on Vishnu (Vishnusmaranam), serving His Lotus Feet (padasevanam), salutation (vandanam), worship (archanam), servitude (dasyam), friendship (sneham), Self-surrender (Atmanivedanam).

Atmanivedanam comes only after sneham. Hence, you should try to cultivate the friendship of God. Without sneham, you cannot reach the state of Atmanivedanam. Until you reach Atmanivedanam, you cannot understand the all-pervasive principle of divine magnetic power. Whatever activity you do, magnetic power is the basis.

Temples are nothing but centres of magnetic power (ayaskantha mandiras). Whatever power you experience in a temple is due only to the presence of magnetic power. You feel there is a great power in Tirupati. It is not the power of Venkateswara Swami, the presiding deity. It is the power of devotees' faith and surrender. Hence, there is tremendous magnetic power.

Ramayathi Ithi Ramah (that which attracts is the principle of Rama). God has the power of attraction. Take any temple for instance. Only the magnetic power is present there. That is the power of Divinity. It can be experienced only in temples and nowhere else. What is the reason? The deities installed in temples, the water used for Abhishekam, the flowers and the yellow rice used for worship --everything is full of magnetic power. That is why people are attracted to temples.

Our body is also like a temple with magnetic power. Hence, it has to be utilised for sacred purposes. When you give room to evil traits like anger, jealousy, and hatred, much of your magnetic power is wasted. The sense of smell, touch, taste, etc., are but the effects of magnetic power. A programme that is being broadcast in Delhi or Madras Radio station can be heard here simultaneously. What is responsible for this? The magnetic power carries the sound waves. No scientist or engineer can understand this.

Can a scientist explain the process of digestion and blood circulation in the body? No. In every being, the heart beats for a particular number of times. Which scientist can explain this? All this is ordained by God. Doctors feel proud of their achievements. But in fact, nobody can achieve anything without Divine Will. They know how a heart beats, but they do not know why it does so and who makes it function. It is not because of human effort but by the Divine Will that the body functions. But people are not able to understand this because of their ego and sense of doership.

No doubt, human effort is required, but nothing can be achieved without Divine grace. Here is an example. God has created paddy. But you cannot eat it as it is. You have to remove the husk, boil the rice, and prepare the food. This process of refinement is known as samskara. It lies in human effort. But creation is in the hands of God. Everybody should have firm faith in God. The ignorants do not believe in the existence of God. Even such people agree that there must be some transcendental power behind this creation. That very power is God, without whom man cannot exist.

As I have said earlier, a person is the combination of materialisation, vibration, and radiation. With the help of radiation (Atma) and vibration (life-force), a one is able to carry out life using materialisation (body) as the instrument. Body is the basis for performing action. It symbolises karma yoga.

Vibration helps one to think, and radiation is responsible for the functioning of vibration and materialisation. This is referred to in the Vedas as Prajnanam Brahma(Brahman is Supreme Consciousness). This is not just awareness, but Constant Integrated Awareness. It exists everywhere, all the time, totally. It has no distinction of day and night. It transcends the three states of waking (jagrat), dream (swapna) and  deep sleep (sushupti). It is one and the same in all three periods of time.Ekam Sath Viprah Bahudha Vadanti (Truth is one, but scholars refer to it by many names). This is the divine magnetic power. It can assume any form like Rama, Krishna, and Easwara, depending on the feelings of devotees. All such names and forms are your imaginations, but in reality, God has no name and no form. Take for instance, water. It has no specific shape, but it assumes the shape of the vessel into which it is poured. Likewise, air is formless, but it assumes the form of a balloon or a football when they are filled with air. The names and forms are of your own making and are bound to disappear one day or the other. Hence, hold on to the fundamental principle of Divinity.

Embodiments of Love!

You may forget anything, but not God. Forgetting God amounts to forgetting yourself.

In ancient times, people lived for 110 and 120 years, because they led their lives constantly thinking of God. They never suffered from any diseases. They used to eat simple food. They had no knowledge of vitamins and proteins. They never took tablets like Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, etc. They would get the required vitamins and proteins because they offered their food to God.

You can achieve anything in life if you strengthen your faith in God. In fact, you will become God yourself. You are not different from God. Understand this truth and attain the state of oneness. [Showing the golden Linga to the devotees Swami said], "As you all can see, this Linga is rather big. There is a meaning behind this. This is five tulas in weight. In every human being, there is the golden essence of five tulas known as Hiranyagarbha. You may be aware that there are some medicines with gold content. Gold represents energy in man and is the cause of his radiance. The gold content within each body is of this size only. It is this golden essence that makes the eyes see, and the ears hear.

There are thousands of taste buds in our tongue and lakhs of light rays in the eyes. The eyes, the tongue, and other sense organs derive their strength from the magnetic power present within. The golden essence pervades the entire body as a shield of protection. There is a thin layer of white skin just beneath the normal skin, which acts as a protective sheath for the blood. There will be bleeding only when the white skin is cut. God has kept the white skin below the normal skin for the sake of protection.

Whatever God does is for the welfare of all. This is the meaning of the prayer, Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu (May all the beings of the world be happy)! TheBhagavata says,

The stories of the Lord are most wonderful and sacred in all the three worlds.
They are like sickles that cut the clinging creepers of worldly bondage.

The cowherd maids (gopikas) had unwavering faith in Lord Krishna and thus could redeem their lives. Faith is the magnetic power that attracts Divinity. Though the mothers-in-law abused and the husbands were angry with them, the gopikas never rebutted. They were neither angry nor afraid. The sweet form of Krishna was imprinted on their hearts just like a picture printed on paper. Can the picture and paper be separated from each other? No. Likewise, Krishna was firmly installed in the hearts of gopikas. Such firm faith and devotion is the result of merits accrued over many births.

In order to attain God, one should have love and compassion. The taste of love is beyond description. It is highly sacred and makes one forget oneself in ecstasy. Sage Narada described love thus:

Yallabdhwa Puman Ichcharamo Bhavathi Trupto
Bhavathi Matto Bhavathi Atmaramo Bhavathi
(having attained That, man gets total satisfaction,
fulfilment, ecstasy, and bliss.)

When you chant the Divine Name with love, you forget yourself. One attains fulfilment only when one becomes the recipient of Divine love. In order to attain Divine love, develop love in you more and more. When you have the magnetic power of love in you, whatever you study will get imprinted on your heart. If you do not have the magnetic power, you can never succeed in your endeavours, however hard you may try. You may study day and night, but without any result. Whenever you try to study, you will be overpowered by Nidra Devi (the goddess of sleep). Kumbhakarna will put you to sleep. On the other hand, when you develop the magnetic power in you, you will never feel sleepy while studying; Kumbhakarna will dare not look at you.

Students today waste a lot of time. They try to study only at the time of examinations. "O man! Do not feel proud of your education. If you do not offer your salutations to God and think of Him with devotion, all your education becomes useless."

Think of God at least once in a day. Do not pay heed to what others say. Someone may come to you and say, there is no God. Then immediately, you should ask, "Whose God? My God or your God? Your God may not exist for you, but who are you to deny the existence of my God?" With such firm conviction, you should argue with them.

But unfortunately today, people have become blind, having lost the eyes of faith. Develop faith and sanctify your lives. Faith alone can protect you at all times and under all circumstances. Do not give room for bad or ill feelings. Do not harm others. Do not criticise others . If you make others suffer, you will suffer much more. Not only you, even your family will have to face the consequences. Never forget this truth. God will confer well-being on you and your family only when you aspire for the welfare of others. Develop noble feelings, think of God, and make proper use of your time.
