Pediatric Cath Procedures                Paediatric Cardiac Surgeries                  All Services rendered are Totally Free of Cost Rare Cases Ishita, a 17 month old child presented with breathlessness and bluish discoloration of nails. She was evaluated and was found to have transposition of great arteries and total anomalous pulmonary venous connection. The combination of these two complex heart defects is extremely rare. There have been only a handful of such cases reported in the literature. The child underwent arterial switch operation and repair for the total anomalous pulmonary venous return. Her postoperative course was uneventful and she was discharged ten days after surgery. Case of an 11-year-old male child who was evaluated for a murmur 2 years back and diagnosed to have aortico - left ventricular (LV) tunnel. He underwent surgical correction for same, however, the tunnel tract remained opened on follow up. Child successfully underwent percutaneous closure of aortico – LV tunnel at our center with AMPLATZER vascular plug II. Two sessions were held on 8th December 2017, wherein 15 Government doctors and 30 field workers of the Kawardha District of Chhattisgarh were trained with several photos and videos and a Question-Answer session thereafter. Medical officers were keen on attending a one/ two-day short training at the Hospital for hands-on practice in Auscultation & detection of cardiac murmurs and requested for arranging this training soon. Healthy Mothers Beget Healthy Children Divine Mother and Child Health Programme conducted its third monthly screening programme for pregnant women in Chikballapur Dist, Karnataka. In a short span of two months, the programme has touched 1186 expecting mothers with about 30 doctors mostly alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Institutions coming forward to dedicate their time and resources once a month for the cause of Healthy Motherhood. Another 40 volunteers joined the medical team to help them on the ground with data entry, logistics, etc.  The Doctors discovered that close to 50%of the pregnant women screened were anemic and required nutritional support on a sustained basis. The Trust is now exploring ways to reach out to and feed these mothers in Chikballapur district.  Just a little Warmth With the Winters Setting in and the temperatures plummeting down, our programme team of DMCHP at Palwal, Haryana in collaboration with Annapurna Breakfast Team distributed Sweaters to Little Children in about 12 Government Schools. Annapurna takes care of their nutritional requirement by serving them breakfast every day and as a natural extension, this activity was taken up to further take care of little children s physical needs. A Special Visit An Evening with Sadguru The event was organized by the IAS officers Association. Our Program team provided seamless support to the association which was well appreciated. Sadguru was keen on meeting a few children under the care of the hospital. He was moved by the work being done here in Naya Raipur as well as Palwal. He graciously accepted a copy of the pictorial biography of Swami, "I Am God, So Are You". He conveyed his 'Best Wishes' to the Institute in all endeavors.   Christmas in Sai Sanjeevani Style Christmas in its essence stands for Compassion of Christ.
