Issue 262 - January 30, 2022 | | Your Word Will be My Word, I Have Blessed You | | Baba told Brother Madhusudan, "Keep your mind calm and pure, the mission is about to accelerate! As long as you remain selfless, no one can stop this mission." Brother Madhusudan yet again wondered if he was indeed the right person, but can anyone or anything alter the Divine will? What was preordained was meant to happen, and Brother Madhusudan was a mere instrument, who simply had to surrender to Baba, and allow Him to take over. He immediately remembered what Baba had told him a few months before, "This prapañchā (universe) is māyā (illusion) and what is going on is the māyā nāṭaka (a play of illusions). There are many characters. When they are on the stage, they act and when they go off the stage, they don't. Again, when their role comes, they play their part. This way, in this Universe everyone is acting. What is your role? You must teach them, playing your role of a guru." Baba continued, "You must point out their mistakes to them and correct them. You stay outside the stage and watch them, observe them. Wherever necessary, you must also get on the stage and teach them how they should act. That is your work." Then came the most astounding assurance, "I will guide you. Believe in your intuition. Become so pure that your will and My will become one. No two, only one. Live like that. You become My body and I will work through you as your ātma sārathi (Charioteer of the Divine Spirit). That way we can both transform the world. Your sacrifice, your yoga (union with God), your surrender of mind, your words, your expressions from today will change into divine. People will experience peace by looking at you. If they touch you, their diseases will be cured. If they listen to you, their darkness of ignorance will disappear. If they eat from your hands, they will have 'ātma-trupti' (self- satisfaction). You will transform into a modern-day saint by always being in the service of society, and you will ultimately realise your true self (ātma-sākṣātkāra). I am blessing you on this day. Anubhavinchu! Labhinchu! Tathaasthu! (Experience it! Benefit from it! Let it happen!). All your gurus are being blessed today. Go, be assured that your word will be My word. Take namaskar. I have blessed you." An excerpt from the book 'Karishye Vachanam Tava' authored by Bhuvana Santhanam, Pg no. 121. | | INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE FOR THE WEEK | | "All power is within you. You can do anything and everything. Believe in that. Do not believe that you are weak; do not believe that you are half-crazy lunatics, as most of us do nowadays. Stand up and express the divinity within you." – Swami Vivekananda | | Excerpt From Divine Discourse | | What Happens When You Truly, Wholly Believe You Are God? We all have heard that God exists in everything and everyone. So, it is no wonder if God can exist as a fish in water, as tortoise on land and water, as a boar, as a half-man half-lion, if He can come out of a pillar, then He can definitely come out of a human too. In fact, God's ways are unique, they are mysterious. And those who try to understand God with their minds and the faculty of senses, they only meet with failure because they are beyond that. The one who cannot be described in words and one who cannot be understood by the mind is Divinity – this is how our scriptures define. Therefore, it is a waste of an effort to analyse, to understand, to describe and explain God and His ways. However, if one opens one's heart and experiences God as that sweet, nectarine, divine, pure, blemishless love, that alone is the experience and understanding of Divinity. As you progress further on this path of spirituality, you realise that you are not different from God. This realisation that God and you are one is available to all; in fact, it is the very birth-right of all provided we are ready to put efforts on the spiritual path. The less of 'I', the more of 'Sai'. God may take any form at any point in time. However, Divinity, the pure love, the selfless love is what lets us know that it is God, it is Divine principle of love and nothing else. From this day onwards, let us understand that we are all Divine. When you believe truly that you are Divine, all that which is not Divine in you, your attachments, your ego, all the negativities will simply disappear just as the dew drops when sun rises. When this ātmodaya (spiritual development of oneself) happens, when you realise the Divine spirit within, all these dew drops of ego, attachments, greed, anger, everything just disappears. The world needs examples to follow. If someone has done it, others get the courage that we also can do it. Therefore, I am only presenting an example and encouraging everyone that all must believe that they are Divine and get rid of all that which is not Divinity and truly follow this path of spirituality and service till one becomes merged in this God feeling. An excerpt from the Divine Discourse delivered by Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai on the auspicious guru purṇimā festival on July 16, 2019. | | The one who was born out of tapas, even before the creation of five elements, is seated in the caves of the heart, is hiding inside all the beings is the highest truth. This truth must be perceived by everyone as the final step in the spiritual path. य: पश्यति स पश्यति – yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati – The one who understands and sees this truth, can alone perceive the unison with Brahman. jīvātmā (individual soul) is separate from that of parabrahman (The Supreme Spirit). This knowledge is subtler than the subtlest for which one needs to develop and open the inner eye to have its vision. Brahman is everywhere and in everything. He exists in happiness, sorrow, health, disease, praise, blame, etc. Only developing such vision is true vision. Rest all are deluded with ignorance. In episode 42, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai explains the ways to see the hand of God in every experience of life. Come and receive the highest wisdom in the simplest way possible! | | Believe! The boy in the video never believed that Santa Claus ever existed. To convert this notion of the boy and to make him realise the truth, God had planned a mystical night for him. The Christmas eve - the night before Christmas is celebrated with great enthusiasm, especially by the children, as all the kids around the world hang a sock near the fire chimney of their home, believing that Santa Claus would leave a present for them inside it. While other children believed this wholeheartedly, this boy however, wanted evidence to believe in this fact. On the night before Christmas, as he was about to sleep, he hears a rattle coming from far away which slowly turns into a mild earthquake, shaking his entire house and the street around. To see what was actually happening, he peeps outside his window and what he saw left him awestruck. It was a train named 'Polar Express' travelling on the streets without rail tracks and to top it all, only he could perceive it. At first, the boy was reluctant to board Polar Express because due to his strong disbelief. But as he notices that the train starts off to its next destination, the boy jumps in the train in a dilemma. Later he experiences many magical and mysterious events throughout the journey which is beyond the understanding ability and capacity of human mind. Finally, after reaching the North Pole, when he would be waiting for the Santa to come out and give away the first gift for that Christmas, a bell snaps off the reindeer sleigh of Santa and lands right next to his feet. He picks it up and tries to hear its ringing sound, but fails desperately. He understands the reason behind it was his disbelief. So, he closes his eyes and reaffirms himself, saying, "I Believe." The moment he transcends beyond the ignorance and his limited thinking, he starts hearing the sweet ringing of the bell. Observing the massive transformation of the boy and his acceptance of the fact, Santa chooses him to gift whatever he demands for. If we consider all our lives, this very fact applies to us both in, worldly and spiritual life. Most of us take interest in our worldly development as it has instant gratification and tangible results. Whereas the spiritual development is neglected. Only if we aspire, pray and work towards our spiritual progress, investing complete faith and efforts in it, will it lead us to the ultimate fulfilment. In one of the most stupefying scriptures of ancient India – kaṭhopaniṣad, where Lord Yama (Lord of Death) while imparting the highest wisdom of the creation to little Nachiketa quotes: नायमात्मा प्रवचनेन लभ्यो न मेधया न बहुना श्रुतेन । यमेवैष वृणुते तेन लभ्यस्तस्यैष आत्मा विवृणुते तनूँ स्वाम् ॥ nāyamātmā pravacanena labhyo na medhayā na bahunā śrutena | yamevaiṣa vṛṇute tena labhyastasyaiṣa ātmā vivṛṇute tanūm̐ svām || Meaning: This ātman is not to be attained by a study of the vedas, nor by intelligence, nor by much hearing, but the atman can be attained, only by him who seeks to know it. To him, this ātman reveals its true nature. Until and unless the aspirant believes in that existence of that almighty and prays for redemption, it will continue to remain as an experience that is elusive but a philosophy found in numerous books. The day one believes this ultimate truth, one is redeemed then and there itself of all the fears and dualities of this creation. We too will be able to perceive and experience like that boy in the video. Sooner or later, Brahman Himself will reveal Himself to us as the biggest gift/boon one can ever get in his/her life! | | | | | | |
